Polished 925 silver is sturdy, durable, and shiny, but when in contact with chemicals in the air, it will oxidize and appear dull. Regularly wiping with a silver swab can effectively remove oxidized parts, allowing 925 silver jewelry to regain its captivating radiance; But if there are scratches on the jewelry, they cannot be wiped off with a silver cloth.

Cleaning Jewelry

The safest and easiest way to clean jewelry is to add a small amount of mild soap to warm water and use a soft bristled brush to gently circle around the jewelry. A toothbrush is an ideal tool for cleaning difficult to reach areas. If the dirt on the jewelry is difficult to remove, please soak it in soapy water for ten minutes first, then rinse it with clean water, and then dry it with a clean soft cloth.

Silver washing water and silver swab milk

Silver oxide

Avoid using strong silver wash to clean 925 silver jewelry with oxidized details, as these products will remove the antique effect and processing details from the jewelry. Silver washing water, silver swab milk, or ultrasonic cleaning are not suitable for 925 silver products with oxidation details. The oxidation effect will gradually decrease at any time, which is a normal phenomenon.

Gilded jewelry

To maintain gold-plated jewelry, it is advisable to gently wipe it with a soft silver cloth. Clean with a small amount of mild soap and warm water, and gently dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using silver immersion solution, silver washing water, ultrasonic cleaning method, or abrasive chemicals to clean jewelry. Avoid jewelry contacting cosmetics, cream, perfume or lotion; Before soaking, swimming, or engaging in other sports, it is advisable to remove jewelry. Jewelry should be handled with care and stored separately to avoid scratches.

Protecting Jewelry

When using an ultrasonic cleaner, it is necessary to choose the appropriate cleaning agent and cleaning temperature. Ultrasonic cleaning machines are an ideal choice for cleaning metal jewelry, except for 925 silver jewelry that has undergone oxidation processing and jewelry coated with metal. If the jewelry is set with gemstones, please follow the corresponding maintenance instructions. Do not use this method to clean jewelry made of wood, leather, or glass.

Home maintenance

We do not recommend using household items such as toothpaste and baking powder to clean jewelry, as these items can damage jewelry - toothpaste is abrasive, while baking powder is acidic, both of which can damage the precious metal surface of jewelry.

Liuli can be wiped daily with a lint free soft cloth. If you want to clean it, add mild soap to warm water for washing, and then use a soft cloth to wipe it dry.
